If you’re into marginal gains, then the Aero will fit your idea of winning. Aerodynamic gains are real, simple as that. There’s plenty of science reinforcing that reducing a bike’s drag will save you watts. At higher speeds if you can save those watts in resistance, an aerodynamic advantage will translate to better course times. It’s why every single tube shape on the Aero frame has been shaped for advantage. From the fork to the chain stays, not one overlooked.
If you do need to look beyond its carefully sculpted form, you’ll find performance in every marginal gain detail on the Aero. The only thing holding you back, will be you.
Aerodynamics are in the details and that’s why every tube on the Aero has been aerodynamically optimised. Truncated aerofoil tube shapes are used to deliver maximum aero advantage without the full depth and weight of a full aerofoil shape.
Even further down the aero-rabbit-hole of marginal gains, the aggressive, long and low geometry of the Aero frame will help you get into as aerodynamic riding position as your flexibility will allow.
The moment you throw a leg over it, you’ll notice the Aero frame is itching to pounce forward. The result of a beautiful marriage of materials and frame design, as aerospace-grade, pre-preg Japanese Torayca T800 carbon fibre works together with the oversize BB86 shell and staunch chain stays.
Maximise your gains.
Deep and wide, the CRC50s cut through air like hot butter through a knife, while still keeping the ride comfortable. They feature a toroidal shape – which creates an efficient and versatile wheel that has similarly low drag on the leading and trailing side, as well as better crosswind stability, compared to a conventional V-Shaped deep section rim.
These wheels use a basalt braking surface, designed to handle incredibly high temperatures while maintaining optimal braking performance and safety. A wide, 27.25mm outer rim width means they pair well with wider tyres, up to 28mm, but optimal at 25mm.
However you define yourself as a rider, SRAM Force 22 is ready to help you achieve your personal best, offering no compromise of quality, function and features. SRAM has completely redesigned SRAM Force and loaded it with all of the key innovations of SRAM RED, with no apologies for its fleet looks, ergonomics, efficiency, and lightweight design.
Apart from the complete overhaul, SRAM Force also provides you twenty-two usable gears, YAW™ shifting speed and precision that can only be matched by SRAM RED, and a new sleek finish. The understated SRAM Force group is for rational people with an irrational passion for performance. It is SRAM's most exciting introduction for 2013, and SRAM designed it to be everything any rider at any level would ever require, and it's ready for your best.
